Eggie Tales

Randy came in last night after tending to the poultry and goats with a rather odd looking egg. He was proud to share that it came from the turkeys. Now, forgive this not being a G-rated post, but I've been catching the turkeys "enjoying the spring in the air" the last couple weeks. However, these are the huge, overbred, double-breasted birds. Given the ill-proportioned size of the male breast, they physically cannot complete the act. So, all in all, its just an act. But that still means we have 2 sexually mature birds beating the air with their wings, trying to mount the hen sideways at first, knocking over the waterer, strutting around with feathers puffed, etc. Quite humorous. Until Gloria walks up and says, "Ooooooh! Turkey!" It's sex ed 101 at the Pinedale Palace.

By the way, the egg tasted like chicken... eggs.
