FIVE!

This blog has been pretty heavy on Gloria... when I even post. I appologize. We are still around and I do love my other children just as much, I promise. :-)

But a little girl did have her FIFTH birthday. She requested a princess cake (gee, what a surprise). I called her cake "Limbo Barbie" for the leaning backward pose Barbie had to hold until her skirt was cut and served. Gloria did the decorating. It was a fun project to do together.

And we celebrated with family... and family gets silly. These hats are some of our kids favorite toys. They sport them and march "parades" around the house on a regular basis.

And those that didn't want to wear silly hats read stories.

And Gloria liked eating her cake as much as she liked decorating it.

I made a couple skirts for Gloria so she can wear them for play time.

Here she is twirling.

And posing with her brother.
And here she is performing a curtsey.

She was blessed with many other gifts to jump-start her 6th year of life and the start of school. She received some piano books and we've started piano lessons. Though it was a week later, notice she's wearing the same skirt.

School books, dry erase boards and art supplies have been in active use since. Once the rest of her curriculum comes in, we'll be off and running with kindergarten. Exciting times ahead at the Pinedale Palace!
