Annie's babies

Last night we went for a nice romantic stroll down a quaint beachside street to aid in the birthing process. I'm still pregnant, but we came home to find 2 adorable new goat babies. Annie was a wonderful mother and must have done a great job birthing these two in a very short amount of time.

The white one, unfortunately, is a buck. He's so cute, but we just don't have room to keep boys (we keep reassuring Aaron that he will be neither sold nor castrated). The black one is a doe. Mama and babies are all doing well. Fudge is not so nice to her half brother and sister... of course they have tried to nurse on her as well.

Milking is going well. Noel is now weened all night and nurses all day. We were increasing in milk production until we got some mixed up hay and also forgot to separate Noel one night. So, basically we get 8 oz each morning from Fudge. This really must increase at some point though. Annie was a very good milker for her first time. Once she got through the initial jitters, she just stood there, didn't even eat, as I milked out almost 9 oz. That's a really good first milking especially since 2 kids were probably sucking on her all night!
And, we're open to name suggestions for our black doeling for any creative goat-namers!
